Anca Breahna Plastic Surgeon

Weight loss surgery Cheshire

Thigh lift surgery Cheshire

If you are considering weight loss surgery in Cheshire, why not look at liposuction at the Anca Breahna clinic first.

If you have a relatively healthy body mass index but are bothered by bulges of fat on your arms, thighs or stomach, you may be a candidate for liposuction rather than weight loss or bariatric surgery.

However hard we try with our diet and exercise, our bodies sometimes stubbornly cling to fat. Anca Breahna uses liposuction to reduce pockets of fatty tissue and restore a slimmer profile, boosting your self-esteem.

Miss Breahna offers a wide range of cosmetic surgery procedures for the face and body at her clinic. Other surgeries to restore the beauty of your body include the tummy tuck and the arm and thigh lift.

Why not contact the clinic today to discuss liposuction?

What is the difference between liposuction and weight loss surgery in Cheshire?

Weight loss surgery is a surgical intervention to change the way you eat and digest food. Popular forms of bariatric surgery are gastric bypass surgery and laparoscopic adjustable gastric banding.

This kind of weight loss surgery can be a long-term solution for people who are clinically obese. It causes dramatic weight loss and improves general health, and can help to correct problems like high blood pressure and diabetes.

Liposuction is designed for people with a healthy body weight who want to lose fat deposits from specific areas of the body, resulting in a more streamlined figure. It is not possible to lose significant amounts of weight with liposuction.

What can liposuction do for me?

Liposuction can remove the fatty deposits from the abdomen, hips, knees, thighs and under the chin. In the hands of a surgeon as skilled as Miss Breahna, the bodily contours can be smoothed and sculpted to create a slimmer silhouette. You will feel comfortable in slim-fitting clothes again.

What happens during liposuction?

During a liposuction procedure, cannulas are inserted into small skin incisions and used to break up fatty tissue, making it easy to remove.  A suction device is then attached and the fat is sucked out through the cannula. This may be repeated several times in the area to be treated, depending on its size. After the incisions have been stitched, a supportive garment is put onto the patient. This must stay in place for six weeks.

The procedure is performed under general anaesthetic and may last up to three hours. You will require an overnight stay in hospital.

What is the aftercare for liposuction?

The procedure may leave you with some discomfort, but painkillers can be prescribed to manage this.

You will have consultations with Miss Breahna at regular intervals during the first year after treatment.

You can contact the clinic if you have any concerns or problems between appointments.

How much downtime is required after liposuction?

You will need to treat your body carefully for a few weeks after liposuction. Miss Breahna advises her patients to take up to two weeks off work depending on their job. Liposuction patients can resume driving after two to three weeks, but it will be 12 weeks before they can return to the gym or vigorous exercise.

Am I a good candidate for liposuction?

You are a good candidate if you are already at a healthy weight but need to smooth away stubborn bulges.

Miss Breahna always has two consultations with her patients before surgery. She will discuss the procedure and recovery process with you to ensure that you know what to expect. She will also take a full medical history so that she can be sure that you are healthy enough to receive the procedure.

When will I see the full benefits of my treatment?

Your body will have settled down after 3 to 6 months and you will be able to enjoy your streamlined figure by wearing whatever you want.

You can find some before and after pictures here.

Will the fat loss be permanent?

Fatty tissue removal is permanent, but some fat cells will remain. There is always the potential for you to put weight on again if you don’t maintain a healthy lifestyle.
