Mastopexy Augmentation (Uplift With Implants)
Mastopexy augmentation, commonly known as a breast uplift with implants, is a surgical procedure designed to enhance the volume and improve the position of the breasts simultaneously.
This procedure combines the lifting and reshaping aspects of a breast uplift (mastopexy) with the volumising benefits of breast augmentation, offering a solution for individuals looking to address sagging while also increasing breast size. Consultant Plastic Surgeon Anca Breahna, with her expertise in cosmetic breast surgery, provides a tailored approach to mastopexy augmentation, ensuring that each patient achieves a balanced, natural-looking result that aligns with their aesthetic goals. Ideal for you if you are experiencing volume loss due to ageing, pregnancy, or significant weight changes, this procedure can dramatically rejuvenate the breast’s appearance, creating a more youthful and fuller silhouette.

Who Needs Breast Uplift with Implants Surgery
Candidates for mastopexy augmentation are those looking for a comprehensive solution to improve both the position and size of their breasts.
Anca identifies suitable candidates based on several criteria:
- Volume Loss and Sagging: Ideal candidates have experienced a loss of breast volume and significant sagging due to factors like ageing, pregnancy, breastfeeding, or weight fluctuations. These women seek not just an increase in size but also a correction of the breast position to a more youthful elevation.
- Asymmetry or Shape Concerns: Some patients may have asymmetrical breasts or are unhappy with their breasts’ shape. This procedure can address both concerns simultaneously, creating balance and a more aesthetically pleasing contour.
- Physical and Emotional Well-being: Candidates should be in good physical health, with realistic expectations about the outcomes of the surgery. Anca ensures that patients understand the potential results and the commitment required for post-operative care.
- Motivation for Surgery: Individuals motivated by a desire to enhance their self-image and confidence, rather than external pressures, are likely to be more satisfied with the results of their mastopexy augmentation.
Benefits Of Mastopexy Augmentation (Uplift With Implants)
Miss Breahna’s surgical skills enable a natural looking result to be achieved. Once the post-surgical swelling has subsided, the final outcome reveals breasts that have a fuller and perkier appearance.
Lifting and reshaping the breasts can also create a more youthful look, having restored both volume and their original positioning on the chest. If the nipples have also been addressed, their shape and size will look improved and more in proportion with the appearance of the breasts.
Body confidence is an issue that many women can be affected by, especially as they get older and the body changes in appearance. Improving the shape and size of the breasts can play a big role in boosting a woman’s confidence, impacting positively on her emotional well-being.

Types of Breast Uplift with Implants
Implant Type and Placement
The choice between saline and silicone implants, and the decision on placement either above or below the pectoral muscle, is crucial. Anca works closely with you to select the best option based on your body type, desired outcome, and lifestyle.
Uplift Techniques
Similar to a standard breast uplift, Anca may employ various techniques such as the crescent, peri-areolar, vertical, or inverted T-incision methods. The choice depends on the degree of lift required and your anatomical characteristics.
Customisation and Symmetry
Anca takes into account the existing breast tissue, the degree of sagging, and the desired final size to customise the procedure. This ensures a symmetrical, natural appearance, enhancing your figure and achieving their cosmetic goals.
Combination Procedure
This surgery is meticulously planned to address both the lifting of sagging breast tissue and the augmentation through implants in one procedure. This approach minimises recovery time and maximises aesthetic results.
Mastopexy Augmentation (Uplift With Implants) Procedure
The surgery is carried out by removing excess skin and tissue to lift the breast. The implant will then be placed to create volume and shape, and the nipple will also likely need to be repositioned to suit the newly elevated breast.
A mastopexy augmentation will involve an incision being made either around the areola (periareolar), and then vertically to meet the fold where the breast meets the chest (vertical) or vertically from the base of the areola to the crease and the horizontally across the crease beneath the breast (inverted T). The type of incision that is used will be determined by Miss Breahna depending on the amount of skin / tissue that needs to be removed.
According to the desired outcome, the size and placement of the implant will be discussed during your consultation, and you will be made aware of the expected final result.
Mastopexy augmentation combines breast uplift techniques with the placement of implants to achieve both lift and added volume. Anca offers several approaches to this procedure, each tailored to meet the specific needs and aesthetic goals of her patients.
Recovery and Aftercare
The recovery period for mastopexy augmentation is important for ensuring the best possible outcomes.
Anca provides complete aftercare instructions and support throughout this phase:
- Immediate Post-Op Care: Following the surgery, you may experience discomfort, swelling, and bruising. Anca prescribes medication to manage pain and recommends wearing a support bra to minimise swelling and support the new breast contour.
- Activity Restrictions: You will be advised to avoid strenuous activities and heavy lifting for several weeks post-surgery. Anca provides guidance on gradually resuming normal activities, ensuring that the healing process is not compromised.
- Follow-Up Visits: Regular appointments with Anca allow her to monitor the healing process, remove sutures if necessary, and address any concerns. These visits are essential for assessing the progress and ensuring a smooth recovery.
- Long-Term Care: To maintain the results, you should follow a healthy lifestyle, avoid significant weight fluctuations, and wear supportive bras. Anca also advises on scar care to minimise the visibility of surgical scars.
Reviews
Patient satisfaction is the top priority for Anca. You can find how patients feel about her work below.TUMMY TUCK, BREAST REDUCTION/ UPLIFT AND LIPOSUCTION Dr Breahna is a BRILLIANT cosmetic surgeon!!! I felt completely reassured, comfortable and more importantly safe in her care during two surgeries; tummy tuck in Feb’ 23 and breast reduction/ uplift and liposuction in Nov’ 23. She is very professional and has lovely calm demeanour; she went into every detail explaining what to expect from my surgery from start to finish which made me feel reassured I was in safe hands. I’m 59 years of age and as we all know, with age, everything heads ‘South’, droopy boobs, tummy etc.. and I had an always hated my tummy as I had an overhang/ apron from having my son, some 30yrs ago. This has always bothered me as nothing ever fitted properly and I had to always wear larger sizes and oversized tops to cover the apron and now with my ‘very nice’ as my hubby would say new boobs, I can now get into Primary size S clothing which I’m absolutely delighted with, as I’ve gone down two dress sizes. I now love how I look and feel. Honestly the results are amazing. I’m going back for more surgery. Thank you again Dr Breahna xx
My husband found Miss Breahna on an internet search, I was slightly nervous, as I was always told to have someone recommended. However from the first appointment, to now, 6 weeks post op. I believe everything happens for a reason. Anca, is so thorough, and knowledgeable I have crohns, and AS, and struggle with fluctuating weight. This was something I thought would be a barrier. But with Anca’s expertises it was nothing. I have had a breast uplift, liopsuction, and fat transfer meaning my breasts now have shape, they are no bigger, but are the correct shape, and I haven’t needed to have an implant either. I felt that Anca, never even thought about money, she just wanted the best for you, in that sense, she offered 2-3 pre consultations, the aftercare has been amazing, excellent communication, and I even wanted another procedure, of which she has recommended waiting for (many other consultants would have gone ahead regardless for the money I feel). I honestly couldn’t be happier, and can’t wait to have the next procedure. I wholeheartedly have full faith and trust in Anca. I would also like to say thank you to Claire, Anca’s PA who made the communication seamless, and looking after my little ones to enable me to have a consultation.
From the beginning, Ms Breahna has treated me with the upmost care and consideration, with a gentle and professional manner in all aspects of the process. Ms Breahna’s expertise was invaluable when considering between breast augmentation and a mastopexy augmentation, with the most appropriate implant size and shape. Saying I am happy with the results is an understatement as I couldn’t have imagined my breasts to be as perfect as they are, with incredibly neat scars and, personally, no complications. I have thoroughly enjoyed the process due to Ms Breahna’s kind nature making me feel so at ease throughout, with unfathomable attention to detail and care. Thank you!
