If you are dissatisfied with your breasts, you may like to consider breast implants in Cheshire.
The size and shape of the breasts are largely dictated by genes. However, weight gain, breastfeeding, treatment for breast cancer and ageing can all play a role in causing changes that affect self-esteem.
Breast augmentation surgery with implants provides a solution.
Breast augmentation, also called breast enlargement surgery, is one of the most frequently performed cosmetic surgery procedures. It is a straightforward procedure for skilled plastic surgeons but it will have a significant and positive impact on the way you look and feel.

What is breast implant surgery?
Breast implant surgery is sometimes called breast augmentation surgery, breast enlargement surgery or a ‘boob job’. During this procedure, cosmetic surgeons insert implants into the breasts to enlarge them and enhance their shape.
Breast implants can restore lost breast volume after weight loss, breast feeding or menopause. Breast augmentation may also be suitable for women looking for reconstruction after treatment for breast cancer.
Implants come in a variety of shapes and sizes and your surgeon will help you to decide which will best suit the proportions of your body and the effect that you want to achieve with your breast enlargement.

Who will answer all my questions about breast surgery?
Like all Miss Breahna’s cosmetic surgery patients you will have a consultation with her to discuss the risks and benefits of breast implant surgery. Most patients have lots of questions and this is your opportunity to ask any that you may have.
Miss Breahna will describe the breast augmentation procedure and the recovery period. Her experience and expertise as an aesthetic surgeon will help her to advise you on the size and shape of implants that will suit your body best.
During this initial consultation, Miss Breahna will assess you and take a thorough medical history to ensure that breast enlargement surgery is safe for you. If you are taking any prescription medications or are receiving treatment for any significant health conditions, she may need to consult your GP before recommending surgery for breast implants.
When will I decide on my surgery?
Miss Breahna always has a second consultation with patients before they commit to surgery. It is best practice for aesthetic plastic surgeons to give their patients time to reflect on the full details of the procedure and think of other questions.
Miss Breahna wants to be sure that you are completely confident about your surgery before proceeding.
What will happen on the day of my breast enlargement?
Miss Breahna and her team understand that you may feel nervous about having breast enlargement surgery even though the ‘boob job‘ is such a popular procedure. They will do all that they can to put you at your ease.
Before the operation, Miss Breahna will mark the incision points on your breasts. Miss Breahna always makes the surgical incisions in the most discreet positions possible to avoid obvious scarring.
Depending on your body shape and the size of the implants that you have chosen, she will make the incisions in the crease under your breasts, around your nipple or in the armpit.
Once the operation is underway, Miss Breahna will use the incisions to insert the breast implants. She may place them between your breast tissue and the chest muscle, or under the chest muscle.
Miss Breahna will discuss the techniques she will use for your breast augmentation at your initial consultation.
Breast implant surgery takes between one and two hours and is performed under general anaesthetic.
How long does it take to recover from breast implant surgery?
After surgery with breast implants, you will need an overnight stay in hospital. The day after surgery, Miss Breahna will examine you and if she is happy with your progress, she will discharge you.
You will leave the hospital with pain relief and lots of advice about how to care for yourself and your breast implants.
Patients need to wear a support bra for a few weeks to promote recovery. This may not look glamorous but it will be worth it when you see the final results of your breast implant surgery.
You will have a follow-up appointment with Miss Breahna after about a week and then at regular intervals for the first six months.
Miss Breahna offers outstanding aftercare and will make sure that your recovery is as smooth as possible.
When will I be able to return to my normal routine?
You should allow yourself at least two weeks of rest after your breast implant surgery to allow your body to heal and it would be helpful to have this time off work depending on what your role involves.
Most women are able to return to driving after two weeks.
Miss Breahna will advise you when you are sufficiently healed to go to the gym and this may be up to three months after your breast implants.
You should avoid travel for three weeks after breast enlargement surgery.
When will I see the final results of my breast augmentation surgery ?’
After three months, the full results of your breast surgery will be apparent and you will be delighted with the way that the breast implants have changed your appearance. You will be able to swap your support bra for beautiful lingerie and your confidence will soar.
You can see some inspring before and after pictures here.
Will I have scars after breast enlargement surgery?
The plastic surgery scars created during breast augmentation will have faded after 18 months.
Are there any risks with breast enlargement?
All surgeries carry risks and breast surgery is no exception. However, your risks are minimised greatly by choosing an excellent consultant plastic surgeon like Miss Breahna.
Risks with any surgery may include swelling, bruising, tenderness, infection and bleeding.
Complications specific to breast surgery with implants include asymmetry of the breasts, capsular contracture, temporary loss of nipple sensation and implant rupture.
The aftercare provided by Miss Breahna at her Cheshire plastic surgery clinic will ensure that your recovery is smooth and that any potential problems are sorted out quickly with further treatment if necessary.
Are breast implants safe?
Miss Breahna only uses the highest quality breast implants that have been approved by the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA). The low-quality PIP implants which have caused problems for some patients are no longer used in the UK.
Implants come in a variety of shapes and sizes and can be filled with different materials. Saline breast implants (filled with salt water) and silicone implants (filled with silicone gel) are both used in the UK.
The choice of size, shape and material will be discussed at your consultation with Miss Breahna.
Is there any alternative to breast enlargement surgery with implants?
A fat transfer procedure using fat from elsewhere on your body is sometimes used as an alternative to breast augmentation with breast implants.
If you are interested in this form of breast enlargement, Miss Breahna can discuss it with you at your consultation.
How much do breast implants cost?
You can pay for your plastic surgery treatment yourself or may be able to do so via your health insurance.
