Anca Breahna Plastic Surgeon

Mole Removal Cheshire

Mole removal is available for Cheshire patients through the expertise of Anca Breahna –  a surgeon with a specialism in skin conditions.

The process of mole removal, also known by the name mole excision, is relatively straightforward and available across Cheshire, there are many who can perform it. However, there are still clear advantages to opting for an experienced practitioner and they do not come more qualified than Anca Breahna.Mole removal

Anca has a special interest in skin procedures and also skin cancer, she runs a weekly skin cancer clinic here in Cheshire and is a member of a local skin cancer MDT (multidisciplinary meeting). This is not to suggest of course that there is any great likelihood of your mole being cancerous, instead, it is to point out that you are in the safest of hands

Just as importantly, Anca is a surgeon with a superb ethos and reputation for patient care.

Mole Removal Techniques

With decades of experience, Anca Breahna has all methods for mole removal open to her and regularly performs these procedures in Cheshire.

In a web page, it is of course impossible to suggest which option would be the best in your particular case.

Often, a simple shave excision will be ideal. The shave excision for mole removal is a quick procedure that creates minimal scarring – the mole or moles are simply shaved away and the skin below is left blemish free.

Larger moles or those that have a degree more complexity may require surgical excision, here the mole is cut out and stitches used to suture the wound.

The best option would be discussed in consultation with Anca, she would talk you through her thoughts and her recommendation. Her experience ensures that the option truly in a patient’s best interest will always be selected.

As a prospective patient, you do not need to be an expert in the techniques for mole removal, instead, it is important to choose someone who can always use the best approach for the mole or moles in question.

Mole Removal Safety

With many moles, the only problem they cause is that they may be considered unsightly by the person seeking to have them removed.

In these instances, there is no medical need to have them removed, though there can be benefits beyond the aesthetic as the removal of a mole can help in a small way to enhance confidence and self-esteem.

Other moles may also cause some discomfort, this often when clothing is taken off or put on, or brushing hair can be painful if there is a mole it is common to snag.

However, some moles will require extra analysis to ensure there is no concern of malignant melanoma, which is a serious skin cancer.

Anca Breahna will know which moles require this analysis. She will send any mole for analysis if she has the slightest concern.

The analysis is undertaken at a leading laboratory and results returned promptly.

In most cases, Anca Breahna can quickly inform you on visual inspection using a specialised hand-held device called dermatoscope  whether there is likely to be any need to seek analysis of a mole.

She is also able to remove keratotic lesions, basal cell carcinomas (“rodent ulcers” or BCC) , squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) and malignant melanoma (MM).

About Nearby Chester

Chester is a beautiful walled city located within the county of Cheshire and on the River Dee.

The city was founded as Castrum, the Roman fort located there called Deva Vitrix – this was one of the main army camps in the UK. Deva then became a major settlement in its own right.

Chester has a long and rich history, it was given city status as far back as 1541 and its importance is shown by the castle and walls, these remaining among the most complete city walls in the UK. The castle received numerous extra fortifications through the centuries, the initial castle built under the instructions of William the Conqueror.

Chester remained important through later centuries, for instance the nearby Newtown, with the Shropshire Union Canal were key to distribution.

The city is now a popular one for tourists, this a key industry, so too are public administration and retail.

A large number of well-known celebrities and famous people were born in Chester, or lived in the city, these include Russ Abbot, Beth Tweddle, Ben Foden and many people’s favourite James Bond – Daniel Craig.
